rwikxy's Top 10 events of 2008

rwikxy's Top Ten Events of 2008 1. My Graduation 2. Teaching Job at USLS - Bacolod 3. Baby Van Patrick Rojas 4. Masteral Classes 5. Formula 1, Brazil Race 6. NBA Finals Celtics - Lakers 7. US Election 8. Pet Project Launch: Bacolod Central 9. Federer - Nadal Rivalry 10. CIS Night/Beijing Olympics my entire life, there's been a lot of great things that have happened to me, i've achieved a lot with the support from my family and friends and last march 2008 i was able to wear the toga (which is a mission for me) for the graduation, i must say this is the greatest thing that ever happened to me in the year 2008... leaving my job in manila to go back studying is not that easy but with so much desire and willingness with the undying support of my mom, my sister donna and brother ricardo, i took the chance and i won the battle... in just a few hours 2008 bids farewell with a lot of memories left behind... 2009, another year for everyone, i'm confident, optimistic with lots of ...

less then 24 hours...

i almost forgot to compile my top 10 events for the year 2008 as i usually do every end of the year... i still have a lot of time though, by the last hour today i can post it already... anyways, everyone is excited for the new year, a lot of things are in store for all of us and we should always hope for the best... peace!...

two evenings...

attended our class get together dinner last thursday at rib house, its for my IM classmates and last night another class reunion with my high school classmates at imay's... next stop, a cousins wedding in iloilo... peace!... high school classmates IM classmates

Christmas day...

it's Christmas day! and while other people would go to a mall or spend a moment with their family in a park, i did the other thing... stayed at home and checked my exam papers... nyahaha... i suppose to do this last week but i was too lazy, so i decided to have it done today... i'm having a trouble loading www.phpugph.com/talk in my browser for several days already oh wait its already more than a week... my goodness that long already and i don't have a single idea how its happening... i can login using my mobile phone though, so i can't really understand the problem... sigh... Merry Christmas Everyone!! peace!!...

season greetings!....

happy...

harder than you can think of, hrmmm.... doing it anyway... optimism is not a word to describe it, just pure expression of a heart that is falling deeply in love... to be appreciated or not, whatever happens, the important thing about it, it must be said, be known and done... peace!

im mobile...

got myself a sony ericsson G900... been using T610 for how many years already way back my manila years... im trying out the wifi capabilities now... running mini opera on mydsl connection... and its cool... peace! ü

mit class...

started attending my masteral classes last saturday, it is a tiring day actually... the first class starts at 9am and ends at 12pm, i have about 2 hours for lunch before the 2pm to 8:30pm classes... good thing i 'm with my old classmates in college, brent, teddy and ronald except in the morning because they did not take the subject... tomorrow will be another tiring day but i'm hoping for a better one, heheh... i created a simple java game for my data structures(MIT203) assignment, it's a game of chance with you selecting 3 numbers then the game draws another 3 numbers of you've matched all 3 numbers it means you win... i don't know why i choosed to make it rather than a different one, but i was thinking of a very simple program that can be easily explained... and that will be tomorrow... peace!

1st apo...

the 1st apo (grandson) in the family... van patrick, son of my brother and wife vangie. :)

fs: update...

finally, a message from the admin... a breather... Missing Friends We're aware of the problem that some users are having with missing friends. We experienced a major power outage the other day, that we're still recovering from. We are actively working on resolving the problem with missing friends. Rest assured that no friends have actually been lost -- even though it may appear so on the website! The problem should be fixed within the next 24 hours. We apologize for this inconvenience. the fall of friendster?....

friendster.com experienced some problems and these past few days its been acting weird and all, today all but 42 of my friends on the list are all gone, now i was thinking of not using it anymore if they can't have that list returned to what it is before... i know life is not about friendster but i'll say that the social network helped me linked with some of my real friends scattered around this planet of ours, its not easy to build a big list of known people as what i actually do, i can say that 90% of those people on my list are not just acquaintances and for me to start all over again like i know all of their email addresses and all?... let's see what the coming days would be for friendster.com... peace!

baha...

after an hour of heavy rain early afternoon today, flood water covered some major roads in the city... early in the morning i went to have my car fixed at the service center in-front of robinsons mall when rain started to pour... at about 2:30pm i was suppose to get my car but i wasn't able to because of the heavy flooding at the area, good thing they lifted the car to avoid the flood water which i think reached knee high... baha sa syudad! whew!... peace!

world peace?...

will peace have its chance?... taken from the headlines... "1 million flee Congo fighting, UN says","Suspected US missile strikes kill 29 in Pakistan","Sri Lanka condemns serial bombings in Assam","Bali bombers await firing squads as Indonesia stands guard","Suicide blast rocks ministry in Kabul","UK Policy Angers Tibet Ahead of Beijing Talks"... not soon enough?... :(

i went with my mom, my tita and cousin cathy for some window shopping and groceries at gaisano city today... i ended up buying those nice square ceramic dining plates, nyahaha... i don't know why but it really looks good at the top of the table... 1st semester is almost over, got more than a week before the final exam and masskara festival!... peace!

paghigugma...

knowing you changes my life thinking of you makes my world happy seeing you brings delight in my heart loving you is a feeling of contentment to be a part of you is a blessing for you to like me... is a gift and for you to love me... is a treasure

rejecting change...

he is a priest and he is the governor , he was elected in very slim margin over the influential political icons in the province because 1,147 more people believes he can bring change... in just 10 days in office he was able to collect a remarkable Php 11.6 million from the quarry industry of the province and by the end of June 2008 a total of Php 230 million a record breaking feat... more folds than he's predecessor, previous governors earned Php 121.023 million in 5 years starting 2002 until June of 2007... now some people are hurting, they can't stand losing their profits, kickback is the right word for that and they want the governor priest out... good governance is so hard to do, a person must have the will and dedication to change everything for the benefit of its people... and when people resist change, one can do nothing about it but to fight back... this country is dying, politically... i long to see more of the governor priest running every cities and provinces of thi...

conflicts...

peace is an easy word to remember and so difficult to have... there's a fighting in mindanao, war in georgia with the russians... the mindanao conflict can be traced way way back in history and is very hard to understand without really deeply looking at it... the only thing i understand right now is that some of our muslim brothers wanted to take what they claim to be their ancestral land, the only problem is that the land they claim to be their own is already a residence of thousands of catholics and muslims living in harmony... but they want more, they want full control of the land, with their own laws, justice, security, electoral system and a lot more... if simplified they want a country of their own... and the fools in the administration wanted to give it to them... they should be fired, like donald trump does to his apprentice... "Your Fired!"... but no, glueria wants to bring it to the supreme court for interpretation and decision... my goodness... 8. The parties a...

the new nation...

8. The parties agree that the BJE shall be empowered to build, develop and maintain its own institutions, inclusive of, civil service, electoral, financial and banking, education, legislation, legal, economic, and police and internal security force, judicial system and correctional institutions, necessary for developing a progressive Bangsamoro society the details of which shall be discussed in the negotiation of the comprehensive compact. taken from the draft of MOA to be signed by our government with the milf for the creation of bangsamoro homeland.... reading the lines it simply states that our government, the glueria administration is allowing the creation of a new nation by the milf, the supreme court issued a temporary restraining order yesterday which eventually halted the signing in malaysia by both parties... people in mindanao specially those who where not consulted that their land will be included in the proposed homeland went on offensive primarilly because they don't...

dethroning a king...

roger federer's 2nd round defeat to ivo karlovic is a big blow for his career right now, with nadal in his winning form and if gets lucky to win the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters in Cincinnati he will become the new worlds number deposing federer who holds the spot since feb 4, 2004, my question now is that, can federer handle that? my option for him, with multiple titles won, he simply retire now before the cincinnati finals and ask his name to be removed in the rankings just what henin did... being number 1 for quite a long time and dropping down to your close rival is just something so hard to take... peace!

not so cool cuil...

when the news hits the net that a new search engine www.cuil.com was launched by some ex-googlers it draws a tremendous interest from the internet community... as some headlines says that it will be a search engine that will go head to head with google when it comes to web search, everyone just want try it out... less than 24 hours after its release it went down with problems already, unavailable site access and worst from it irrelevant search results... so i tried searching using simple keywords such as "capital philippines" and "Philippine currency" and look what cuil and google have for me... now if you're doing some research or searching over the net you know where you should be... peace!

midterm now...

finally prelim exams is done, grades computed and given out, it's been a tiring and stressful week... up next new topics for the lecture... hrmmm, i feel sorry for those guys who got a very low grade in my subjects but hey it's not the end of the world for them, 2 more terms left just enough for them to catch up and have a passing grade... more goodluck to you people... updates! atp: federer is not in his form now or maybe he just lost it all, recent setback was in toronto losing to simon in his 1st match after a heartbreaking lose to nadal in wimbledon... it will not be that long before nadal takes over as the worlds number 1... F1, what a race in germany last sunday evening here in PH... hamilton took the checkered flag with massa taking 3rd, currently its hamilton at the top of the race with massa 2nd and kimi in third, 58, 54 and 51 respectively... peace!

prelim exam week...

it's the exam week and i won't be holding mine, i rescheduled it the week after... i have a week to prepare for the exam papers, i handle 2 subjects both have lecture and laboratory session so i need to prepare 2 types of test for each one... tomorrow my batch mates and i will have a small gathering at teddy's place, no occasion at all just plain gathering of old school mates... peace!

realiable realist...

i'm a realiable realist... :) peace!

pldt telemarketing...

wth??... i was busy reviewing some notes for may class and the phone rung so i went to take the call but i was irritated when i heard a recorded advertisement from pldt being played over the phone... what the heck was that?? telemarketing??... whoever thought of such thing should be fired by pldt management... you see people are not just sleeping in their homes and waste time answering these kind of calls and you expect they will give attention to it?... we have enough from the radio and television advertisement and even cable channels have them already, now on landline phones?... that's a crap... i know how telemarketing works but at least put someone over the phone not a noisy recorded audio... peace!

1st for july...

i missed to update my blog last july 1, tsk2x.. i'm quite busy these days and i was strucked by a fever and stomach pains, but i'm doing ok now... i decided to change my diet from now on, it will be less rice or no rice at all for me... i will settle for a cracker or bread with fruits and some veggies... i will still eat meat but only a small portion of it... you see i'm really gaining some weight and i want to change my eating habits and yes i am also trying to do away with my most love drink coke light, coke zero and coffee... they are all bad for me... peace!

3rd week...

i can hardly update my blog these days, i've been really busy doing my lesson plans and stuff... still at a period of adjustment if i may say... well teaching is a fun job and very challenging, it is where you cannot go unprepared, so i must keep myself updated all the time... i handle 2 subjects, web design and java programming and seriously it's making me read more and more about my subject each day, more than the days when i'm still in school and it's a good thing for me... heheh.. peace!

its raining outside...

it's been awhile since the opening of the new school year and me trying to adjust in my newly found job and career and so far things are doing great, i never really thought that teaching can be that so tiring, so i feel the need to apologize to all my teachers back then for not understanding their effort sometimes... it is fun to stand in front of a class and do a lecture and the challenge of making them learn from it is really pushing you hard to be the best in it... i'm so thankful that i have this job right now and i'm really looking forward for the 2nd semester where i will be taking my masteral studies... that's all for now... peace!

jobless no more...

who would ever think and believe in this, officially i'm an educator now... God is really good to me... i received a call just last tuesday from my former professor and offered me a job at the university... this is one of those rare opportunities that a person should not dare not to take... though i never thought of myself of being a teacher but i find it challenging and remember the one i said before about helping the city improve the its IT image? maybe this is the start of my share and i only wish i can do well in this newly found career... but of course i will continue to work on some projects... and yes i finally have my own domain... www.bacolodcentral.com its a new site for businesses here in the city, the site will be like an information center of all businesses in the city... they need to register their business first... it is still in beta, about 30% done so expect changes from time to time and some functions might not work also... heheh.. peace!

its rafa...

rafael nadal won his 4th consecutive french open title, winning in 3 sets (6-1, 6-3 and 6 -0)... the spanish player proved his dominance in clay court against federer... congrats rafa!.. peace!...

he is losing...

french open mens finals is on the way and it looks like federer gonna lose this one, nadal is a fantastic player in clay, roger is having a hard time with a lot of unforced errors... he is already down 2 sets to nothing... it's also the race day for F1 at the circuit gilles-villeneuve in montreal that will be 1am here in pinas... peace!

ana... ana...

more of ana...

its ana...

ana ivanovic won the roland garros (6-4,6-3) which is the french open, it was a tough game against the 13th seed dinara safina... she is also no. 1 in the Sony Ericcson WTA Tour ranking to be released on monday... this is her 1st grand slam title... peace!

Download Day 2008

Joomla! Day Philippines...

late post...

entry for May 28, 2008: mydsl pldt's broadband service is down for the wholeday... it's already 10pm but still there's no connection... i'm actually writing in advance since i got nothing to do except to watch tv and eat... currently tuned with roland garros in balls channel but the sound and video are not in sync by almost 5 seconds making it so undesirable to watch... anyway it's still on the 1st round and hope the finals will not be on the same channel, if it does it will be a disaster... it's already the 28th of the month and june is just a few days away and yes i am still a jobless fellow... can't understand myself right now, i'm not in a mood of going out and find a job here... i am already thinking of going somewhere maybe cebu or just go back to manila but i just don't feel manila is for me or maybe i'm just wrong and i am really destined to be in manila... i still envisioned myself working here in the city while helping in the growth of ...

idol thing...

america has a new idol and it's david cook... i know it's a late entry for me but this is not really about the american idol... i'll go local this time, lets talk pinoy idol... you know what, the trouble of having a show like the idol franchise is that we can really see the difference on how the entertainment business works from country to country... it's undeniable that american idol reached record highs when it comes to ratings and all... now here comes our local version the pinoy idol, no this is not the first one it is actually the 2nd idol here in the country... it was known as the phillipine idol with a different franchise holder but yet it is still the same no matter how they change the title... now, i don't normally watch their shows but out of curiosity i did... and it was a turn off, really... from the host to the production, the judges are good though like ogie alcasid and the other guy but with jolina?... wla na gid haw??(no one else??)... the shows host...

oil... oil...

"Oil crosses $129 for first time, heads for $130", and OPEC is not open at the idea of increasing production to help lower down the price, i'm using v-power and currently it's already Php 53.82 per liter and expecting more increase in a few days... i just hope that scientist can finally invent an alternative to oil so that the demand will decrease and eventually becomes zero... if that time happens let's see how this oil producing nation face their own problems, with no takers of their products maybe they'll sell it for even a dollar per barrel... peace!

the life...

uber lazy to update this space... heheh... so whats with me right now?... hrmmm... okay... my cousin florence and her parents is in the country except for florence who went back home last sunday because of work... the last time i saw them was when i was still in grade school and it was long long long time ago, florence is older than me by a year... i don't really go out that much specially at night... i just don't like the idea of drinking and driving around the city not that i fear for my life but for the others... you know what i mean... but not when all long never seen cousins from iloilo are here, it was an exception... it was a rainy night so it helped me stay a bit sober... heheh... but yeah we had a good time that night... peace!

IE6 i lo.... err.. hate...

IE6 is always a pain... working on a site set to be launched this month, all works fine not until i checked the site on IE6... the png images does not show the required transparency... i already have the hack for it but it only works on images with "img" tags but not on background-image... i no need to tweak out something to make it work... peace!

lasalle avenue...

i've signed up for a free hosting at http://www.000webhost.com/ for a forum i want to create and i called it Lasalle Avenue... it's a forum intended for all lasallians from usls-bacolod... it's already online but the host is currently doing what they called website review and it's down for almost 8 hours already... now i'm thinking of getting a paid host instead of a free one... i'll post the link for the new forum as soon as it up again... and the forum i made for bsim i already decided to shut it down anytime soon... peace!

just an update...

finally i'm almost done with the project i'm doing for tup-visayas... it's not an official school site but an alumni community site... the plan is that by the 17th we can already replace the old site with a new one... it's been awhile since my last blog entry, lots of thing happened, federer lost to nadal in monte carlo finals... team ferrari! yes!... kimi and massa finished 1 - 2 in spain... what else... hrmmm... i'll post it next time.. nyhehe... peace!

panaad sa negros...

it's been raining in the city for about 2 days now and it's summer... whew!... climate change at work?... panaad sa negros, the mother festival of all festivals in negros occidental formally opened and the rain did not stop the celebration and the 10 minute fireworks display at the panaad park... back to work now... err... work? me?... i have work?... hahaha... peace!

summer time...

my cousin john from iloilo is in town for a vacation... it's been awhile since the last time he went here and if i could remember it right that was the wedding of my sister, so its like 2 years ago... need to make use of summer time and maybe find a work soon... peace!

havaianas surf...

a neighbor friend of mine bought me a pair of havaianas while his in brazil, it was suppose to be a brazil soccer jersey but he wasn't able to grab one... thanks marv's!... april is almost over and yeah! i'm still unemployed... i received a call from panama just last tuesday, it was interview for an online job but i wasn't able to get the position i wanted and they're offering me another job but i feel it was not the work for me... it is like a journalist or something of that kind that... i'm not really good in writing and this blog of mine is a testament of how rough and grammatically erroneous i am at all times, with that alone being a journalist is a no no for me... peace!

tinymce+mootools...

creating a cms for a school community site, i started using tinymce and mootools for some functionality... there's a lot of content management platforms available for download like drupal and joomla but i prefer to design and create my own cms for a specific system, it is customized and simplified based on users requirements making it more easier to use... studying cms frameworks and platforms are still a priority for me though... there are clients that prefer to use one so you must adopt with their requirements... thats all for now... peace!

want a ferrari?...

an amazing transformation... acura nsx to ferrari f50... only in china... you can see how they did it here ... peace! before: after:

3d avatar...

it was jiji who introduced www.mezz.com to me so i thought of trying it out not for the sake of really dressing up my 3d avatar but to explore how they created the site... and i think it is done mostly on java and it's a cool site... www.mezz.com ... peace!

team visayas...

trying to do some coding and photoshop practice, i created team visayas web site for the sake of having fun... peace!

wimpy's burger...

kuppa is a preferred place for me and my friends to go whenever we feel like to spending sometime chatting or have a light snack over a cup of coffee, our favorite is the wimpy's burger... covered with gravy in one side and a creamy cheese on the other side a delicious treat for burger lovers like me... peace!...

the ruins...

went to visit the ruins in talisay yesterday, a mansion with a structure of italianate architecture with neo-romannesque columns built in the early 1900's... in the early part of world war 2 it was burned by the guerilla fighters to prevent the japanese from utilizing it as an headquarters... it's worth touring the place if you are in town... peace!

torch relay...

as what i've said from my previous post, olympics is about sports and has nothing to with politics... trying to put off the flame on the torch will not mean putting off china but rather putting off the spirit of olympics and olympics is not china... i understand the struggle and desire of the tibetans for freedom but not at the expense of the olympics... please, let's not combine sports with politics... don't act like hypocrites, if you are indeed true why not protest against other countries that has a way, way, way higher human rights violation records than china?... why not protest against some countries or governments that kills innocent people everyday?... maybe you will not because there's no olympic games in those countries... for me putting off the flame ON THE TORCH means nothing... peace!

interview...

went to school this morning to process my tor, releasing date is on may and went to mcdo to eat breakfast with teddy before going home... teddy told me about his experience when he had an interview at a newly opened call center in the city, it was funny yet irritating to know that during the interview his interviewer is yawning and her eyes closes because of sleepiness and to think that's infront of the interviewee... i can't think of a logical reason for a person who conducts an interview and do not give so much attention into what the person says and later has to decided if the person passes or fails the interview process... i also experienced being an interviewer and each time i'm at it, i make sure that i have that respect to the person and create an impression that he or she is dealing with a professional and the process must be taken seriously and that whatever decision i would make at the end is based on a credible and fair assessment... or maybe in this case its all...

work.. work...

been a busy day for me... it's the first time that i sat down and worked on a project, a payment system for a school outside bacolod... a very simple system only that the scope covers the primary, high school and college... im already done with the template by tomorrow teddy can work on the other modules... i haven't applied for a job yet except for the supposed interview with a chinese company but it was cancelled because of the misunderstanding between the filipino sr. engr and the chinese manager... well... for the mean time i'll just do some freelance work until the right opportunity arrives... peace!

mission accomplished...

after 3 years i finally graduated and officially i am unemployed... congrats to all la sallian graduates!... wish you all the best of luck and happy job hunting... peace!

earth hour...

see the difference you can make 8pm March 29 created to take a stand against the greatest threat our planet has ever faced, Earth Hour uses the simple action of turning off the lights for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on global warming. http://www.earthhour.org/

+1...

another fruitful year had passed, a year worthy of remembering, i am thankful to God for all the blessings and hoping for more to come in the coming years and for the new chapter in my life… i owe everything to God, to my family and my friends, without one of them life can be as ugly as it could be... peace!

water...

just finished fixing a burnt electrical wire up above our ceiling, did some cleaning of my transportation module as well and while doing those things i observed that i don't sweat that much anymore maybe because i have no water in my body or rather i don't have enough... i don't know why i dislike drinking water even i know that its bad for me, all i have is coke and coffee inside my body right now and sooner or later my body will become a coke and coffee dispenser... in the past years i jog at the capitol lagoon not every morning but maybe twice a week and during that time i can finish off a pitcher of water easily... but right now i don't drink that much anymore and i think it's time for me to change the habit, i MUST drink 8 glasses of water everyday.. i MUST, i MUST... good luck to me then... peace!

cancer...

its been awhile since the last time i checked on some national news, as i opened the television the headline says that former pres. aquino is suffering from colon cancer… what went back into my memory is my father, it was 5 years ago when my father succumbed to colon cancer, he’s first operation with the intention of removing a portion of his intestine ended with a colostomy bag placed on his stomach, cancer eaten up a large portion of the intestine that linking it back would be impossible… then the chemo therapy, we all thought that everything will be ok and really hoped for his full recovery but not after a year when examination results showed that cancer cells are back and its spreading out fast… he was again put into the table but with doctors advise that the probability of surviving is very small, it was a tough decision to make but we can see it in his eyes the will to fight and to keep on going… after the operation he recovered, me and my brother went back to manila and its not ...

double standard...

went to school today for something to be signed and later learned that it was just a survey, imagine waking up early just to fill up a piece of survey form, the good thing about it though is that i saw my crush again, wheheh… hrmm… we signed it anyway and then went to have lunch at chowking, it was brent’s advance graduation treat for us, after sometime talking we went to robinsons, brent and rainer played arcade games while teddy, me, jr and bagz went to bob’s for some coffee… went home at around 3:30pm… later went with my mom to sta. clara to get something… tv… hrmmm… torch lighting in greece for the coming olympics, one thing that caught my attention while a chinese official was giving his speech a demonstrator went to flash a flag behind him, i did not have the chance to read what was written on the flag, it was a quick one and security personnel came to tackle him… i don’t really agree with people who are trying to connect the tibet issue or any other issues to the beijing olympi...

happy egg hunting...

the early politicians...

though this is not the 1 st time but an election controversy occurred after 33% out of 8963 electorates cast their ballot… one party cries “rule of law” while the other “stand for the truth”, a student government election fought like a national elections… a good sign or the otherwise?... I believe that it is good to see the young fight for their rights, recognizing the existence of laws that provides order in the society but I also believe that while we uphold and exercise such laws, it is important to understand the consequences of our actions… what I am saying is about when 2 parties comes to an agreement or decide on matters outright without bringing it to the higher level… the reason why our courts has a tons of pending cases because of people who simply wants to accuse one another and file charges without doing a settlement outside the four walls of the court of laws… we have written laws but these are laws are not designed to provide justice all the time, a good lawyer can ...

reflection...

think about God, think about the blessings He showered upon us, think about our relationship with Him... look inside our hearts and reflect, have we done enough to recognize Him as our personal savior?... what kind of road will i walk without him?... am i worthy of His love?... will i be strong to face the pain and trials?... the Lord sent his Son Jesus to save us, to teach us, to show us how much we are loved, the Lord has given us His life and your pain is no bigger than what he have suffered not for Himself but for all of us... peace!

holy week...

last day of graduation rehearsals is today but prior to that our class will have a class pictorial on our toga's at 2pm then practice follows at 3pm... yesterday is the recognition rites, went to receive our best information management system award then had a practice for the baccalaureate mass... ate lunch at sm with the dinosaur... wheheh... its the holy week, a week of reflection and reassessment of how life should go after all the trials, pain, sufferings, sadness, happiness, joy... and the list continues... God is great and He's aways within guiding me in everything and yet i'm still a sinner and no doubt God still loves me for what i am... thank you so much Lord my life is being offered for Your glory!... peace!

deadlock...

a strongly binded minds... found scattered at the end... reasons over reasons... pride over pride... hate over hate... prowess over prowess... a clash of ideas... for the undefined feat... who will fall?... who will celebrate?... all but not one...

F1 is back...

what a fun day...

it was a fun saturday indeed, we started the day by going to sta. fe for an early morning swimming season with jr, rainer and reyson it lasted for about 2 hours then we ate our breakfast at chowking... from there jr went to his practice and reyson to an unknown location... hahaha... rainer and i went straight to punta taytay to join brent, jan and the rest of the bsim student which are having a coastal clean up activity... then later went to jan's house to have some lunch and kill some time before going home... fun! fun! fun!... hehhe... also yesterday at teddy's place we asked nanay (teddy's loyal helper)to cook for us some spaghetti, so we went to grab some groceries at lopues east then later returned again to buy a gallon of ice cream, it's our way of celebrating the end of the long and hard struggles in our college life... more pictures on my multiply page... peace!

wysiwyg...

on my laptop the blogger using FF refuse to show the wysiwyg editor but using IE it works just fine, i keep on looking for a possible setting that i may accidentally changed but i found nothing and i can't understand why... hrmmm... the last exam of my university life is already done and soon enough i'll be out in the real world hunting for a job again to support my very simple life and when i say very simple life i really mean it... i'm the type that hesitates to buy a shirt that is more that 500, i do not buy shoes that cost 5k, i would not want to spend 2k for a pair of pants, going back while i'm still working in manila, my hard earned money is usually spent on food, food, food and more food... whehhe... peace!

wednesday...

did nothing the whole day but sleep, eat and watch tv... i don't have an exam today so i decided to stay home but it did me no good at all... tomorrow i will have two exams, on networking we will have a practical task, we will make a LAN cable it's either you do the straight connection or the crossover connection depending on what our prof gives us... friday will be a free day and by next week graduation practice starts... i'm excited to receive my diploma.. wheheh... peace!

only technical...

the nbn saga continues and a new witness named leo san miguel came out with a bomb shee..e..ee.ll errr... puff... he was supposed to be a surprise witness but it turned out that he indeed surprised the senators with a different story... sen. lacson was in high spirit when the hearing is about to start but after the first word coming from the witness everything changed dramatically... he denies knowing about the over pricing... etc.. etc... in simple words he knows nothing but only technical matters... but admitted knowing some people involved and have attended a lot of meetings with them but when asked what are to roles of some personalities he would simply respond that he don't know... can you believe that?... i wonder how sen. lacson feels right now... peace!

boredom...

had an early breakfast with my mom at mcdo after the mass and some groceries then spent the whole day surfing the net and watching movies... my life seems not that colorful right now the way i see it, ive asked jan and teddy to go out and later changed my mind bcoz i feel like staying at home and too tired to go out, i ended up watching a movie again and went channel surfing on tv... i feel like i want to cry but i don't know why and even if i know i still want to ask my self why?... i think i'm going crazy... but seriously there's a lot of things that been bothering me... i need to find a job thats one... i need to go out this country thats two... three, i need a wireless router... four, my desktop mouse is broken... my super crush now has a bf thats five, nyhahahah... what else?... there's like plenty of them that if i keep on writing them all i will never end until the next week... whehhe... life is full of challenges and i just need to keep on moving... it's alw...

the refusal...

it's a rainy saturday in the city, i was home the whole day b'coz i was too tired to go out... bagz texted me to have some coffee but i refused to go... what? did i said it right?... coffee?... refused??... nyheheh... i still enjoyed a good cup of coffee while at home though... i watched no country for old men and gone baby gone , both films was really good specially gone baby gone which was directed by ben affleck, it's a 2007 film released in the philippines sometime in december... the story is about a little girl who disappeared, a film full of drama, conspiracy and mystery... i won't say what's the ending of the story for you to watch it yourself... peace!

no more...

my pandela hosting account which is a free one was finally terminated because pandela decided to shutdown their free hosting service... so right now i don't have my online portfolio, whynot get a paid hosting instead?... actually i was thinking of getting one but i want also to maximize its use and right now i can't really think of something... the baby project i wanted to create for our bcdone is not even moving... oh my, even the bcdone portfolio is now shutdown... tsk! need to have it up and running again... we have a new project, this one is a patient record system coupled with an inventory and point of sale system, right now we are still at the planning stage for our proposal... i see no problem with the first to modules but with the POS i still need to do some research about the pros and cons because normally we see POS done in C++ or alike but not in a web based form... though online there's a lot web based POS and i still need to look into it... peace!

St. Therese...

pilgrim relics of St. Therese is currently displayed at the C armelite Monastery, this morning i together with teddy, his cousin tiny and her friends was there as volunteers to guide the devotees ... also known as Therese of the Child Jesus, the saint from Lisieux, France became a nun at the age of 15 and lived a simple life of prayer and taught a spirituality of attending to everyone and everything well and with love... at 24, she died from tuberculosis and the world came to know her through here autobiography, Story of a Soul, where she described her life as a “little way of spiritual childhood”... on the report of the visit read here ... peace!

monthsary...

monthsary, what the heck is monthsary??... searching for a meaning i found nothing in the net and nothing in the dictionary, so why do some people use the word?... okay, let me explain this one, most refer monthsary as a celebration of something like a relationship done every month on the day that corresponds to the actual date when the relationship started... young filipinos are so passionate and inlove enough to count and celebrate the relationship every month until they reach one year... so that's monthsary, for some this is the root of break ups... ahahaha... you don't even celebrate your birthday every month! which is more significant because you are celebrating LIFE... your LIFE!... but yeah who really cares, there's nothing wrong with that, specially when you're inlove... peace!

pirates...

in my previous post i've mentioned about the newly opened shopping center 888 here in the city and the store that sells sex toys... just this morning the store was raided by the authorities for selling those illegal items... it's good to see the city legal office do their job of implementing the laws and ordinances in the city... maybe the optical media board would also conduct a raid for pirated dvd's while they comes cheap but it's still illegal... change! we want change... peace!

the path...

blogger error reference number bX-bo6lh, why am i posting it here? well as always i'm too lazy to report it to blogger that's why... i've been a witness of some couples who were in love so much that almost everyday you see them together, an example of perfect relationship as we thought but later learned that they separated ways already... that's how life is, we deal with lots of problems along the way that makes us change the direction we walk through, often we made a wrong turn but finds our way back at the end of the road before walking a new road again... but there are alsotunnels that seems endless, dark and that we have walked long enough that going back is not a good idea anymore, so we struggle to find the light that will lead us to a new path... life is never consistent, change is inevitable, that's why we need to think well before making our decisions, we must control our faith and must let God lead our way... peace!

blender...

downloaded and installed blender , noooo!... its not the thing that you use to make fruit shakes, its a 3d animation software and the nice thing about this one is its free to download and free to use... i really wanted to learn 3d animation, last summer we went to see how some disney films were made, each animator have this 2 wide lcd monitors running on mac and its really interesting to see them draw and create those cartoon movies... i just wish that i could also learn those things but my first problem is that i don't know how to draw... nyahha... this afternoon i did some vacuuming on my cars interior, its been months since the last time and the dust is already starting to accumulate... peace!

the magic coin...

went to teddy's house to check on our OS project about data scheduling, when i arrived jan and bagz were already there, we had a great time laughing at teddy's magic coin that knows what lies ahead in the future according to him... then at around 3:00pm went to kuppa to have some coffee after a while brent arrived... we stayed there doing our usual business, laugh trip again... we decided to leave the place at around 5:00pm and went to see the newly opened 888 mall and found it not so interesting except for the dildo shop they found at the second floor... hahaha... i'm not sure about that one but they saw a sign... we stayed for about 8 - 10 minutes and then went to sm before going home... its already march and in a few weeks time i will be graduating, at last my dream of wearing a toga while receiving my diploma will come true... the last time i have this chance was in tup-visayas and i did not even went up the stage, i was near the electrical building clapping for my cla...

rights...

"Section 4. No law shall be passed abridging the freedom of speech, of expression, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and petition the government for redress of grievances." - Article III , Bill of Rights, 1987 Philippine Constitution the interfaith rally in makati gathered thousands of filipinos from various sectors around the country lead by the different churches in the philippines... over the news, the authorities blocked marchers from laguna to makati a direct violation of peoples right to air their grievances as protected by the constitution... same thing happened to the marching UP people... there are also rallies held in bacolod, cebu and outside the country like in new york... we need change and the change must start now... peace!

today is the 29th...

friday, february 29, marks leap day, a day that's added to the month of february almost every four years—that is, every leap year—to keep the modern calendar in line with the celestial cycles that frame it, normally we have until 28 only... so i thought of posting as early this morning because the next time i could post on a 29th of february is on year 2012... peace!
