There's been a lot of memorable events in the 2012, on my list are the combination of world, local and personal events that have taken most of my attention and interest. The rwikxy's Top 10 Events for 2012 before midnight. Many things to be thankful this year and I couldn't ask for more, a great family, good health, wonderful people that around me and specially to God who never cease from loving, guiding and giving me the strength and wisdom to continue. Merry Christmas everyone! This is a year full of graces and blessings for me, I am so thankful to God and all the people who in anyways have inspired me to be who I am. I cannot ask for other things but only to give thanks for everything. Peace!

We welcome the month of December with a great news, our football national team for the 2nd time have reached the semi-finals round in the ongoing AFF Suzuki Cup in Thailand and Malaysia. The win brings the 1st leg match versus the group B top finisher here in the Philippines, it will happen on December 8, 2012 at the Rizal memorial stadium, for sure it will be a one great match to see... Peace!

One blog entry a month, that's me. So here I am again trying to make use of my time in front of the keyboard while tons of examination papers are waiting to be checked, sadly I'm not in the mood to do some checking tonight. There's this Filipino character that makes me feel uncomfortable about, lately in the news a certain city official forced a suspected scam artist into eating fake land titles that's according to news reports. Then, as we mourn the death of the king of comedy in our country and the public clamor for his immediate naming as a national artist. What caught my attention that is quite disturbing is the reaction of some people in many online communities, that is the argument of agreeing on something that violates ones right simply because that person is a criminal and on agreeing of doing something in haste without the thing called process. Blogs are meant to be updated regularly, not me. I'm too lazy to do updates and if I do, it will be short. So many things happened this summer, as we are counting the days for a new school year to open, wait! that's tomorrow already! for other schools, ours will be on Wednesday. There is so much in life that one cannot in a lifetime accomplish everything. As years come by, not getting younger, we tend to look back and accesses where life has lead us. There’s a lot of measure when it comes to success, success is a relative achievement that ultimately depends on every individual, his visions and goals in life. My three decades in the surface of the earth has brought me into where I am today, have I achieved much in my life? Living in simplicity is the one I envisioned, have a fulfilling and enjoyable job and probably my own family someday. All these are something that I savor today (except the own family thing), I have my mom and siblings and I couldn’t really ask for more. An ordinary government employee got fired for not declaring all the properties she owned in her SALN (Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth). The impeachment case against the chief justice is a totally similar case where the supreme court itself upheld the decision to remove the employee from government service. The way how the trial is going, it is the stand of the defense that such error can be easily corrected anytime but by visiting the decision of the high court it did not allow the same kind of reasoning for the that ordinary employee. The purpose of SALN is to check if a government employee has acquired unexplainable weath while he/she is in government service and if we admit the argument of allowing corrections after the submissions it denies the purpose of such filings that shall be done with atmost honesty and accuracy. Students come and go but the memories last forever.  I remember having that as my FB status and had so many likes from my former students and friends. Being an educator is an exciting profession, every start of a new academic year you come to face to face with new people that will eventually be part of your daily life for about 4 years and probably more for some. At the end of a the year you will then see the seniors take the stage and receive their hard earned diplomas, they'll soon join the real world if some would call it and face the real challenges in life. As the moments arrive, you are always feeling a mixed emotion, the feeling of being happy and proud with a bit of sadness as well. The academic year 2011-2012 is almost over with only a few weeks left things are getting exciting in a way. The group I mentor which we call USLS Mobile Apps Development Group has it shares of recognition already at its young stage. During the Global Android Dev Camp 2012 in Bacolod their game application was given recognition as one of the promising apps created during the event, as their mentor I am very happy to see them work hard and achieve something to boast their interest in mobile application development. Still have a lot of work to do, we are just starting and we target a lot of things for the coming months. Windows phone 7 is one of them and hopefully IOS, for now Android is the focus.

Always been a vocal person, I am the one who can't simply agree on everything other people would say. I value others opinion, more their authority, but it doesn't mean I'm letting go of the things I believe in or my own opinion. Most of the time I just wanted to be heard and then I'm good, expressing my opinion is important to me. At work the same is done and its all about work, if somebody takes it as an attack at them the problem is upon them not on me. In my years of being a professional I never did something like attacking anyone personally about work, for me everything is all about work and a question about work is about work and not you... peace!

Second day of school, will be doing a 4 hour lecture and 3 hour laboratory today. Topic to be discussed is about Android animation framework. Been learning how things work in Android for several months now, I wanted to provide the students with a good point to start for later developments. More talk later.. peace!
