rights...

"Section 4. No law shall be passed abridging the freedom of speech, of expression, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and petition the government for redress of grievances." - Article III , Bill of Rights, 1987 Philippine Constitution the interfaith rally in makati gathered thousands of filipinos from various sectors around the country lead by the different churches in the philippines... over the news, the authorities blocked marchers from laguna to makati a direct violation of peoples right to air their grievances as protected by the constitution... same thing happened to the marching UP people... there are also rallies held in bacolod, cebu and outside the country like in new york... we need change and the change must start now... peace!

today is the 29th...

friday, february 29, marks leap day, a day that's added to the month of february almost every four years—that is, every leap year—to keep the modern calendar in line with the celestial cycles that frame it, normally we have until 28 only... so i thought of posting as early this morning because the next time i could post on a 29th of february is on year 2012... peace!

kosovo...

while i was digging dfa's website of some information for my passport renewal i saw the statement issued by our government regarding our stand on the kosovo declaration of independence you can read it here in full... it was just right that we did not recognized such action... peace! "While the Philippines does not oppose the idea of Independence of Kosovo, it would prefer a settlement of the issue as embodied within both parties' obligation under UN Security Council Resolution 1244, taking into account the internationally accepted principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Philippines believes that a lasting solution, including that of independence, should be based on a negotiated solution mutually acceptable to all parties. Considering the existing sensibilities in the region, continued dialogue should be encouraged among all the parties concerned to ensure regional stability."

i need a job...

i tried rearranging my room just a few minutes ago, lately i can't move around after i placed a table for my laptop and chair, so i decided to move my bed facing a different direction... this is actually my sister's room then when she left i moved in and until now the paint is still pink... i'm planning to have it repainted and i want it different with an artistic touch but im still busy right now maybe after graduation... speaking of graduation, it will happen on the 30th of march and right now i still can't decide what would my next move will be... i wanted to put up a small business but i don't know what kind, i am also thinking of leaving the country to work in a company... but there's a lot of things to think about before i could really make a decision... life... life... peace!

unity walks...

can't this government think of a new gimik?... mah goodness, just a few days ago glueria had a unity walk with her loyal cabinet secretaries in malacanan... then yesterday the afp and pnp chief together with their staff had also their version of unity walk in edsa... then just recently the governors loyal to glueria had their unity walk with her as well... can't the people behind this think of a new one??... it's not helping you know... maybe a unity resignation??... yeah! that's it... unity resignation... peace!

it was flawed...

the nbn scandal created a wave of reactions coming from various sectors of society, even in youtube different kinds of videos were uploaded to demonstrate a sense of awareness and even a wiretop conversation between lozada and de venecia III surfaced... today another round of senate inquiry is being shown with a new witness in the name of madriaga, i'm no expert on how politics really work in this country but persons like me can obviously see how corruption have degraded the government system that we have... while i don't disregard that many agencies are trying to change this public perception but results are still for us to see... i remember this film pay it forward where one would help two persons and have the other two help another creating a web of individuals doing good deeds and the process goes on... only if people in government would try to follow such thing starting from the very top, it would be a great day for all filipinos... but still the question of "will the

change...

today our country commemorates the ever famous edsa revolution, way back in 1986 millions of filipinos went to the streets to fight graft and corruption, abuses in government and to regain democracy which lead to the downfall of the marcos dictatorship... today people is out in the streets again not in celebration but rather to continue the struggle for real change... just like what happened in 2001 (edsa 2)when people thought of replacing the duly elected president and handed the power to a new government that today is known to be worst than the previous administration... allegations over allegations but yet majority of the people seems not to care anymore, maybe the idea of all politicians are all the same have hit filipinos so hard and now prefers to work for survival, maybe leave the country for a better future in other countries... but is it right?... as citizens we are bound to protect and to keep this nation going, it is our obligation and each one of us must act when we are cal

exhausted...

we had our successful CIS night celebration last night at the pool side of the sugarland hotel, like all other programs we had a few glitches but in totallity we did well... it was a tiring night for me and april... now here goes my rants... program was suppose to start at 7pm, at 6:00pm the assigned people to handle the registration is no where in sight... later, one arrived but some guest is already inside... we started at around 8pm... had it not me doing the preparation for the video presentation for sure we have ended in total wreck... as the program progresses, i observed that it's only me, april and some help of marielle on the queue cards that is actually running the show... we have to go back and forth to keep the program in order... i had my hands full operating 2 laptops for the video and audio feed... in the end we did well and received some nice feedbacks from our teachers... hrmm... to see my fellow students enjoyed what we have prepared for them is already an accompl

lunch...

just came from robinsons to have some certificates printed and also purchased the frames needed for them... currently having my lunch @bob's lacson, i just thought of having the creamy pasta which i haven't eaten for some time now and a cup of coffee... it's a nice timing not much of customers so its kinda cool with jazz music at the background... hehehe... after this i'll be heading for school already... peace!

failures...

cis night is just a few days away... yesterday i and brent went to see the place for some advance planning, the place seemed too small for 100 people for the suppose awarding and teachers recognition program... since all the reservations is done and the lack of time for any big changes we just need to deal with it and do some good planning... sometimes i am thinking i maybe a failed adviser to them for not guiding effectively, i had envisioned something that i thought the person i believe in can really deliver but later failed my expectations but who i am to judge a person... though i now realize that backing someone needs a lot of thinking, their failure can also be your failure... and remember that brain waves varies... haay... life... peace!

harapan...

im currently glued on the television watching HARAPAN: The Jun Lozada Exposé... it's a face off between the accuser and the accused... engr. lozada and former comelec chair abalos... this is about the national broadband network (NBN) contract deal that involves a huge amount of kickback to the tune of $130 million that involves some politicians which the government canceled a few months after someone exposed the corruption behind the it... for more about the story you can read it here and here ... gong back to the show... its very obvious who among of them tells the truth and who tells the lies... reactions can be read here ... politicians... politicians... they suppose to help this country to be a better place for its people but it seems that it is not the case... change... we want change... peace!

thank you...

having no fast net connection is a life changing situation... normally my mornings would be surfing the net for news and reading some articles and blogs but since my smartbro disconnection everythings changed... mydsl is not yet set and i'm not sure when it will be finally installed... for now i'm using pldt's vibe the dial-up connection that comes with the telephone subsciption... better than nothing at all... my group MERJ Ultd. won the best seniors project award for this school year, the final thesis presentation was held at gallaga theater just this afternoon... our system entitled Appliance WAP-Enabled Purchasing System was choosen by the judges among the 3 groups... we also share the honor to the group of IECC and Palisades, to be choosen in the final 3 is already enough the most important of all is the passing of the thesis defense done last october... winning the award is the icing of the cake... philippine politics is again getting hot, early in the morning that abo
