Merry Christmas Everyone!

The year is about to end and yes it was one challenging and full of adventure 2018. Who would thought that after 10 years I'm still here working in a university, something I didn't even plan to pursue but probably it was a decision that I took and never regretted. Starting from an engineering background which is also the first job I took at a semiconductor manufacturing company for so many years and later going back to college and shifted into programming. To look back, the Singapore trip with my colleagues is one for the books, it was a fun filled adventure going around Singapore, visiting Google Singapore office and Expedia, the food and meeting our former students and workmates who are now based there.

Last May, I was fortunate to be given a chance to visit Google at Mountain View, CA and attended the  GDG Leaders Summit and Google I/O 2018. Meeting my co-leads from the my own country and the rest of the world is an experience one would appreciate a lot, basically learned things on how they ran their own communities which is something I can replicate in our own community.

Though the time was a bit limited, I was still able to visit the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, hopefully I can go back and take a much longer time touring the place and maybe go to LA as well.

For the rest of the 2018 happenings it was fun.

Hoping for more travels and good things next year and I do wish it brings peace, love and awakening to a lot people. For now, Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year! Peace!

joomla! part 2....

starting with a fresh installation with not much of an idea can bring you to the strange land... that's happening to me... with not much knowledge in joomla! i tried installing the thing on my online site... while it sweetly works on local workstation it doesn't online... first not knowing the latest version... i installed 1.0 and a lot of problems came out... fix here... fix there... hmmm.. it's not working... solution ask from the guru's in the community site... then i was told i'm running the old version with a lot of bugs in it... that happens when you don't read instructions like me... hehhe... i now need to reinstall which i did using the newer 1.5RC and hopes for a much better result... but then again like the first one, a problem... the client side is in disarray... asked for help from the forum and did some adjustments... i did corrected some error though... but no totally... need to work on it now... reposting link... http://tupv97.pandela.org/tupv97/ ...

what a day...

we did a birthday bash at home that ended just a while ago... celebrants were carl, harvey, ronald and me... it was a gathering of close friends and IT/CS faculty... it was really fun and memorable... as for me, i'm thankful for all the blessings that our dear God have showered upon me, inspite of my mistakes He never turn His back on me, i am still blessed and loved, with that i couldn't ask for more... to my mom, thank you so much for everything and i love you so much... to my friends, thank you for being with me in all the trip2x things that we do... to my inspiration, my love and my angel, i will continue to love you no matter what happens... peace!...
