a new school year officially started last tuesday... monday the 11th was a holiday... filipinos celebrated independence day last tuesday which is the 12th... 12 gid na ya dapat... anyway classes started already with some teachers already giving out assignments... good for us we don't have any... hehhee... we had a series of meetings though for our club activity next week, we will have our club fair... hope we could do something to make our booth a little attractive this time... before i forget we had a lunch with our professor who is leaving for a job in manila... we wish her well and good luck in her new chosen field... i forgot to write something about the ongoing NBA finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Cleveland Cavaliers... but anyway to give you some update... Spurs now leads the series 3 - 0, Game 4:Thurs. June 14, SAS at CLE, 9 p.m. ET...
After a much heated campaigns the election fever are almost finally over. Pending the final canvassing of votes by the congress the people have chosen a new leader to rule the country for the next 6 years. The presumptive president is a mayor from a city down south of the Philippines known for his iron fisted style of government. What makes this election interesting is the process on how people now choose their leaders. Traditionally, we oath to go for people with great experience, plans, smart and proper character and attitude someone we normally call 'honorable'. This election changed that idea, people now go for leaders with real simple plans to solve recurring problems in the society, strong work portfolio to showcase their capability to govern and implement real solutions. Good luck to the newly elected president, I wish you well in your quest to change this country into something everyone wish it should be. Peace!
