Welcome 2011!

the art of giving...

You give with your heart. You give and not expecting something in return. You give because you are not told to do so. You give not for the photo opportunity. You give not for other people to know. You give because you feel it is right. Am I a good giver? Not really, but when I do, I make sure that I'm doing it because I want to. Why am I saying this? Just yesterday I saw a bunch of people in their fancy cars gathered a number of pedicab drivers and had their photo taken while giving out some bags of goodies. I really thought that it was really meant to share some love to all those people who went out their  way believing they'll get something but later daw a lot of them leaving the area with not a single bag with them. Maybe I am wrong to judge other people or maybe they were paid after that or maybe they really allowed themselves to be part of that but the very least I could say is this shame on you people who uses the poor to look good in the eyes people. I just hope I...

One of the best Christmas celebration last night. In spite of our lost just last month, we manage to celebrate it will fun and joy with the memory of our love ones in mind. So little updates on my blog this year, all time low? Root cause: Facebook and Twitter... Merry Christmas to all! Peace!...

Holiday Greetings!

5 days before Christmas...

5 days before Christmas and this is my first post for the month, toooo lazy me. Will be doing my top 10 events post before the month ends and there's a lot of things happened this year, I need to look at it one by one and select those who really grabbed my attention... already decided on what to cook for the noche buena, wrapped some gifts and packed some goodies for the kids... peace!

110110

It's the 1st day of November and as usual Filipinos celebrates all souls day by visiting their departed love ones graves bringing with them flowers, candles and of course foods. This occasion even becomes a reunion of sort for some families celebrated in a cemetery or memorial parks. Will be visiting ours later in the afternoon. Sharing my new added mugs from Cebu trip... peace!

five...

On my finals days here in Cebu, IBM training is running well, recived 2 completion certificates already and the 3rd one on Thursday. What I liked about this training is the new ideas that surrounds the development and management of web applications running in IBM framework. I'm not a fan of java server pages or JSP and have no plans in using it for my future developments, I still believe PHP is the way to go for web application development, light requirements, open source and easy to manage. There's a lot of advantages in utilizing the IBM framework specially for a large scale development... more on this next time... peace!

queen city...

I'm currently in Cebu for the IBM trainings that I need to attend, venue for the activity is at Informatics, SM City... this is my 3rd time here, everything is nice but the traffic, I just hate heavy traffic, one reason I did not went back to Manila after graduation, Bacolod has its own share of traffic congestion, it is better though... keep you updated about my training... peace!

If this is a vote, it's pretty clear who would win... peace!

oktubre...

Whoa! October! Masskara time folks! but I won't be around to celebrate, will be in Cebu for a 15 days training. Reproductive Health or RH bill a very popular topic at of this moment. The current administration is out to support any measures to have this bill passed and on the other hand the church tries to block it. Where do I stand on this one then? I am pro choice. I am pro life. I am for a responsible parenthood. One question though, when do life starts? more on this soon... for now. Peace!

when september ends...

It's September already, time is indeed running so fast. In a few months (4 to be exact) the year ends again. So what's new, had a scheduled training in Cebu for the next month, need some confirmation on that. Trying out android apps development now, will be looking for a formal training on that also. That's all for now, peace!...

apology...

Main Entry:     apology Part of Speech:     noun a·pol·o·gy /əˈpÉ’lÉ™dÊ’i/ Show Spelled[uh-pol-uh-jee] –noun, plural -gies. 1. a written or spoken expression of one's regret, remorse, or sorrow for having insulted, failed, injured, or wronged another. 2. a defense, excuse, or justification in speech or writing, as for a cause or doctrine.

dynasty...

Main Entry: dy·nas·ty Pronunciation: \ˈdÄ«-nÉ™-stÄ“ also -ËŒnas-tÄ“, especially British ˈdi-nÉ™-stÄ“\ Function: noun Inflected Form(s): plural dy·nas·ties Date: 14th century 1 : a succession of rulers of the same line of descent 2 : a powerful group or family that maintains its position for a considerable time Source Your mother is a house representative. Your 2 brothers are also house representatives. Your uncle is also a house representative. Can we call that political dynasty? The 1987 Constitution has a provision that the State shall prohibit political dynasties. But the constitution failed to define an implementing law on political dynasties. Now I wonder when will Congress pass one.

from cebu...

decided not to post reasons why i voted for noynoy... currently in cebu for a brief vacation, actually my last couple of hours before going back to bacolod, been here since last friday, will be posting some pictures when i get back home... 2 more weeks and a new school year starts... wonders what would be my schedule is if there's a load for me... eheh... peace!...

why noynoy,,,

been reading and hearing reactions both positive and negative from people on the overwhelming victory of Noynoy as president of this land of ours, he is not proclaimed yet but the more than 5 million votes lead is enough to conclude that it is already on the bag... while everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, i just feel bad about people saying that the more than 13 million people who voted for Noynoy simply based their decision on his being the son of Ninoy and Cory Aquino and popularity... so why Noynoy? why not Gibo or Bro. Eddie? or even Gordon? my reasons on my next entry... peace!...

it's 2 - 1 on Election Day...

the long wait is just 5 days away, on the 1oth Filipinos will choose a new president to lead the country and hoping to make a real change in the country, do away with the corruption and lessen if not eliminate poverty... front runners are: Benigno Aquino III, former President Joseph Estrada, Manuel Villar and Gilberto Teodoro... this election will also be the 1st time that counting will be done through Precinct Count Optical scanning machines or PCOS, they encountered some problems during the testing which lead to the pullout of all 80K+ configuration cards for reprogramming, still hoping for an orderly, clean and glitch free elections... peace!

gelato...

haven't updated this space for quite sometime now, summer yeah, handling a summer class in programming for 6 weeks, we are already in our 2nd week... it's so hot in the city specially at early afternoon, you can't just bear standing outside under the sun... peace!

March 10...

Life... Happiness... Friendship... =)

Comelec fail?...

I lost my temper yesterday while doing a transaction on an ATM after a lady who can't wait to have her turn started to complain that I'm taking too long doing my transaction, got really pissed but I'm better now... Can somebody like Nicanor Perlas or JC Delos Reyes win the presidency? Seriously... The campaign period started for the national positions last Monday and the Comelec started handling decisions for electoral protest filed after the 2004 elections, it took them almost 3 years to do that and as expected those who are aligned with the Glueria administration won the election not through the poll but inside the Comelec doors... Can you imagine a priest turned governor is now a cheater, yes, that's what the Comelec wants us to believe... Now, I really doubt the capability of the Comelec to provide a clean and honest election, with the full election automation on track and failures during the field test, I wonder now what will happen during the day of the election o...

they call em fate...

the month of love is here... again... fate can be deceiving, you are trying to rise from a big fall, hurt, oh not hurt but shattered then fate played its card of leading you back from where you are before... but not anymore fate, you can't fool me anymore... peace!

sportsfest 2010...

PHP Developers Summit 2010

angel no more...

aha! it's already the 5th day of the new year, time is running so fast huh, okay, focus now at work and I have a lot of quiz papers to check and record, need to submit the prelim grades on the 12th... I don't usually do a new years resolution and this year I won't make one either, I just feel it won't work for me, I'll just end disappointing myself seeing that I haven't fulfilled any on my list... what I intend to do is to simply live my life not the usual but maybe better than the previous year, I'll try to see if I could do something different and what will it be is the thing that I don't want to preempt... good luck to me then, heheh... peace!
