rights...

"Section 4. No law shall be passed abridging the freedom of speech, of expression, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and petition the government for redress of grievances." - Article III , Bill of Rights, 1987 Philippine Constitution the interfaith rally in makati gathered thousands of filipinos from various sectors around the country lead by the different churches in the philippines... over the news, the authorities blocked marchers from laguna to makati a direct violation of peoples right to air their grievances as protected by the constitution... same thing happened to the marching UP people... there are also rallies held in bacolod, cebu and outside the country like in new york... we need change and the change must start now... peace!

kosovo...

while i was digging dfa's website of some information for my passport renewal i saw the statement issued by our government regarding our stand on the kosovo declaration of independence you can read it here in full... it was just right that we did not recognized such action... peace! "While the Philippines does not oppose the idea of Independence of Kosovo, it would prefer a settlement of the issue as embodied within both parties' obligation under UN Security Council Resolution 1244, taking into account the internationally accepted principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Philippines believes that a lasting solution, including that of independence, should be based on a negotiated solution mutually acceptable to all parties. Considering the existing sensibilities in the region, continued dialogue should be encouraged among all the parties concerned to ensure regional stability."

it was flawed...

the nbn scandal created a wave of reactions coming from various sectors of society, even in youtube different kinds of videos were uploaded to demonstrate a sense of awareness and even a wiretop conversation between lozada and de venecia III surfaced... today another round of senate inquiry is being shown with a new witness in the name of madriaga, i'm no expert on how politics really work in this country but persons like me can obviously see how corruption have degraded the government system that we have... while i don't disregard that many agencies are trying to change this public perception but results are still for us to see... i remember this film pay it forward where one would help two persons and have the other two help another creating a web of individuals doing good deeds and the process goes on... only if people in government would try to follow such thing starting from the very top, it would be a great day for all filipinos... but still the question of "will the...
