Whenever you are in the City of Smiles what comes on top of your wishlist is always about what and where to eat. Visitors in the city enjoys the local offerings and versions of popular national foods. One of the famous food we have is the chicken inasal or chicken bbq, you can't find other places that captures the taste and uniqueness of Bacolods' inasal. Next is the Batchoy of noodle soup, a comfort food to every Bacolodnons. In the coming days I'll be reviewing some of the best restaurants and food within the city. Peace!

Football fever hit the city, our national team know as the Azkals (Aspin) played against Mongolia at the Panaad Stadium, when the night is over team Philippines had it 2 - nil. The game is a qualifier for the AFC Challenge Cup, 2nd leg will be played in Mongolia on March 15, 2011. Peace.   With my cousin, enjoying the football match.

college sports fest starts monday afternoon with the cheering competition up front... competing are the 5 colleges, the defending champion the college of arts and sciences (CAS)which i belong now, the college of education(EDUC), college of nursing(BN), college of business and accountancy(CBA) and the college of engineering(ENGG)... defending the over all crown is the CBA, if they successfully defend their crown it would be a 3peat for them, sadly i can't chant for them now we were transferred under the coat of CAS for good but we are hoping to have our own college in the future composed of BSIT and BSCS, for now cheers for the Green! CAS!... one week of fun, sports and unknown activities that would pop up anytime in the week... peace!

it's been raining in the city for about 2 days now and it's summer... whew!... climate change at work?... panaad sa negros, the mother festival of all festivals in negros occidental formally opened and the rain did not stop the celebration and the 10 minute fireworks display at the panaad park... back to work now... err... work? me?... i have work?... hahaha... peace!

my cousin john from iloilo is in town for a vacation... it's been awhile since the last time he went here and if i could remember it right that was the wedding of my sister, so its like 2 years ago... need to make use of summer time and maybe find a work soon... peace!

kuppa is a preferred place for me and my friends to go whenever we feel like to spending sometime chatting or have a light snack over a cup of coffee, our favorite is the wimpy's burger... covered with gravy in one side and a creamy cheese on the other side a delicious treat for burger lovers like me... peace!...

pilgrim relics of St. Therese is currently displayed at the C armelite Monastery, this morning i together with teddy, his cousin tiny and her friends was there as volunteers to guide the devotees ... also known as Therese of the Child Jesus, the saint from Lisieux, France became a nun at the age of 15 and lived a simple life of prayer and taught a spirituality of attending to everyone and everything well and with love... at 24, she died from tuberculosis and the world came to know her through here autobiography, Story of a Soul, where she described her life as a “little way of spiritual childhood”... on the report of the visit read here ... peace!

in my previous post i've mentioned about the newly opened shopping center 888 here in the city and the store that sells sex toys... just this morning the store was raided by the authorities for selling those illegal items... it's good to see the city legal office do their job of implementing the laws and ordinances in the city... maybe the optical media board would also conduct a raid for pirated dvd's while they comes cheap but it's still illegal... change! we want change... peace!

i'm about to hit my bed and i remember that i haven't updated this blog... so here i am... CBA yes indeed we were crown as the over all champion of the recently concluded college sportsfest 2008 of our school usls... our club was tasked to do the points tabulation for our college... the volunteers really did well on their respective assignments and congrats to all of us... we are still the champions and we shall continue to show them that CBA rules!... hehehe... solidarity party was held at mezza... everyone was there partying, dancing with the beat... i just don't know what time they ended coz teddy and i went to mo2 after a couple of beers before finally going home... just this afternoon... err... yesterday afternoon that's saturday... i went to robs to buy a set of electrical switches for my moms room... going to a known hardware store inside robinsons i grabbed a few switches and directly went to the casher to pay for them then after she had scanned the item i hande...

as i write my sister and kuya gil is already on their flight back to PA... it was a short vacation for them but it was good to have them here during the new year celebration... yesterday afternoon i was with teddy and brent doing our most loved activity... foodtrip... heheh... first stop gerry's grill, it was our first visit since its opening a few months back and did try out some of the food they have... the food was quite alright but the sisig is not that good compared to some other resto in town... then we went to kuppa for a cup of coffee and as usual we ended ordering a pizza with it... heheh... today, i cut my finger... whehe... i was making a pizza bread (again) while i'm slicing some ham, i accidentally hit the tip of my left index finger with the knife creating a small slit enough for the blood to mix with the ham... hahah.. just kiddin it did not, i manage to get my hand off the ham before it started to bleed... peace!

my thesis group (MERJ) together with the other 2 groups, IECC and Palisades will be having a presentation of our respective system this coming february... this is for the best thesis judging... it's a good thing to be selected as one of the finalist but i myself do not expect much from it... passing the thesis defense alone is already enough for me, but since this is also a required activity we'll just give it a good try... whoever gets the honor deserves it and good luck to all... personally i don't like to present coz i don't like being in my corporate attire... hehehe... im gaining weight again and it's not good, i should be doing some food intake control from now on... no rice... no rice... no rice... peace!

it's back to school for me... i couldn't understand why i forgot my schedule, on my mind it's 3:30pm... its actually 2:30pm wheheh... i'm not late though i was already in school by 1:30pm... after class i went home coz i feel i need some rest, still feeling tired after last week... i went to stop by the gasoline station to buy a collectible ferrari toys... i already completed the 6 models but i want to have another for me to play with... i did not open the packaging of the 1st 6 to preserve their value... i was about to lose my cool when i asked the ladies in the office if the stocks arrived and they all agreed that it did not... but before going inside the office i already talked to the service people and they are the one who told me that theres a new stock available... learning that there's nothing i returned to ask the the service guys and one offered to accompany me... in there he asked if where's the stocks then they pointed him to a piled boxes... what the...

looking back at my weblog in 2005 the year i started doing it i only had 38 post for the whole year, then by 2006 i still have 38 post... 336 days in a year but with only 38 post?... how lazy i am when it comes to updates then... but look at last year i have 95... improving huh... hehe... but yeah i really wanted to have it updated regularly but sometimes i just don't know what to write though sometimes there's a lot of things running inside my brain cells but the moment i'm in front of my pc everything just goes away... so i ended up writing nothing... what went today, in the morning i gaved my brother and his wife a ride to the airport they are suppose to be going back to manila via cebu, but they came late for their flight... the ending they are still here and will try to catch an early morning trip again tomorrow... how did it happen?... their flight was scheduled at 9:00am... by 8:00am my brother is still in the shower, we leave the house at around 8:20am and ...

teddy, brent, jan and me went food trippin again... from teddy's house we directly went to sm for some coffee at figaro, we then decided to add a pizza... though the serving was small, it taste delicious specially the thin crust and literally it was so thin about 2mm thick... later we went to buy some firecrackers outside sm, went to robs, stroll, stroll and more stroll then to chicken house for some dinner... that's all for now need to finish my top 10 list... peace!

2008 is just a few days away and as usual i'll do my rwikxy's top 10 events for the year 2007... that would be on the 31st... i don't why i do this yearly but these are things or events that had an impact to myself or had taken my attention in some way... so better watch out for that one if you are interested to know... the world is really not doing good and i'm speaking of the political turmoil that arises from then and now all over the world... just when will this end?... hrmmm... a question that will remain unanswered until... end of the world?... hope not... peace!

just arrived from sm with teddy and rainer... we went to see the last batch for the fireworks display competition here in the city... yesterday was our christmas party in woodside clubhouse and thankfully everything went fine and really hope that everyone had some fun... in our part it we did enjoy the day... i'll not be around for the christmas celebration, i will be out of town to celebrate it with our close relatives south of bacolod but i'll be back on the 26th... have a wonderful christmas everyone... peace!
